Depressing

I can’t believe the Celtics lost to the 76ers. They are so much better than them and they should have never lost. I can’t believe it! It was a depressing game to watch. The Celtics were all over the place. They had no control and they played terrible. They lost the game 98-97. They had two shots at the end to win the game by Paul Pierce AND Ray Allen! I can’t believe neither of them made the shot. That is so unlike either of them. They both are very good shooters in those kind of clutch situations but they didn’t come through. They really needed to pick up there play in the next game and they did when they took on the Minnesota Timberwolves at home and won 122-104. The loss to the 76ers ruined their 12 game winning streak. Let's see if they can start another one with their second win in a row tonight at 7:30 pm when the Indiana Pacers come to town.

Big Night

Tonight is the night the Celtics try to push their winning streak to 11 games when they take on the 76ers of Philadelphia at 7:30 pm at home. It will be a very big and important game that when they win will keep the streak alive and hopefully they keep it going till their big showdown with the Orlando Magic on Christmas day to give them moment and high spirits going into that game. Let's see how they fair out the rest of the way till Christmas. Check the blog for updates after the 76ers game.

When Will They Lose Again?

The Celtics are still winning by pushing their winning streak to 11 games now after they beat the Memphis Grizzlies 110-105. Their record is now 20-4 and it seems like they will never lose again. They are playing amazing basketball but they are having some problems. They definitely are not playing to their full potential, and they won 11 in a row. I wonder if they would be undefeated at 24-0 if they had played to their full potential all season long. That would be really cool if they did because 24-0 would be a nasty record. 20-4 is a pretty good record anyway but 24-0 would be even better. Lets see if they can push the winning streak to 12 games this Friday when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers @ home @7:30 pm. If they can push this record all the way to Christmas, their game Christmas day is going to be amazing when they take on the Orlando Magic. Hopefully they will beat them and get tie up the score at 1-1 on the season.

Streak Still Alive

The Boston Celtics kept their win streak alive this past weekend by beating the Washington Wizards 104-102 and the Chicago Bulls 106-80. They pushed the winning streak to 10 games now. I love being a Celtics fan; especially now because the past few years have been some of the best the franchise has ever seen. You could compare it to the 60s, 70s and 80s teams that won all the NBA titles. The big three from the 60s, 70s, and 80s was Larry Bird, Bill Russell, and Bill Walton; and you could compare today’s big three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen to them. They have been together for 3 years now and have already brought another NBA title to Boston. I could only imagine how good the Celtics would be if those 6 guys were all on the same team at the same time. They wouldn’t have lost a game. It would have been impossible for anyone to beat them. They would probably win al the NBA titles. So anyway, the Celtics are still on their winning streak and are going to try and push it to 11 games on the road tonight when they go into Memphis to take on O.J. Mayo, Rudi Gay, and the Grizzlies.

Streak Still Goin'

The Celtics were able to keep their winning streak alive by beating the Milwaukee Bucks and pushing the streak to 8 games. They beat them by a score of 98-89. They also pushed their record to 17-4 and are in first place in their division still. Now me, I am a huge basketball fan, I love the sport, I love playing it, watching it, being around it, so when my team, as in the Celtics, are doing good, it feels good to be from Boston and it makes you excited to watch a game because you know they are good and it is going to be an interesting game to watch. Like if you were from New Jersey you wouldn't care to watch your team right now because the Nets are 1-19 and have the worst record in the NBA and are in last place. That is not something people look forward to watching when they come home from work or school; they want something interesting that's going to make them happy, not depressed. So anyway the Celtics are on a hot streak right now and are playing great basketball and hopefully they can push the win streak to 9 games tonight at 8 pm on the road where they will take on Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards.

Beantown Is Rockin'

The Celtics are still on that 7 game winning streak and are still in 1st place in the Atlantic Division. They are also still in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference. They have improved their record to 16-4; and their home record to 7-3 and road record to 9-1. They currently have the second highest winning streak going behind the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers, who are on a 9 game winning streak. Let's see if the Celtics can keep the winning streak going tonight when they face off with the Milwaukee Bucks at 8pm at home. By looking at their schedule they should win their next 7 games and have a 14 game winning streak. Their only threat in that 7 game span may be the Chicago Bulls. Besides them the Celtics play the Bucks, the Washington Wizards, the Memphis Grizzles, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Indiana Pacers, and then on Christmas night they play against the team I hate the most, the Orlando Magic. Hopefully the Celtics can get some revenge on them and even the season record to 1-1 against them because right now they have only played once and the Celtics lost that game. Let's see what these amazing Celtics can do.

Well What Do You Know...

Since beating the Orlando Magic on November 20th, which is a team I despise, the Celtics have not lost a game. They are currently on a 7 game winning-streak and don't seem to be losing anytime soon. After beating the Miami Heat on the road, they stayed on the road and played in three hostile environments. Places like the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte North Carolina, the AT&T Center in San Antonio Texas, and The Ford Center in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. They brought a win home from all 3 of those places by beating the Bobcats from Charlotte, the Spurs from San Antonio, and the Thunder from Oklahoma City. It has always been great to be a Celtics fan and I am a die hard fan. I love the game of basketball, I love everything about it and my favorite team has always been the Celtics. I liked watching the tapes of the old games from the 70s and 80s and early 90s when I was young. I love to watch them now too because they are finally as good if not better than they were in the 70s and 80s with Bird and Johnson. Now they have 3 players who I have liked since I started watching basketball. Those players are Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen. I liked KG before he came here. I liked him when he was playing in Minnesota but now that he is in Boston and helped lead us to an NBA title two years ago, I like him even more. Same with Ray Allen. I liked him when he was playing in Seattle for the Supersonics, which is now the Oklahoma City Thunder. I am always going to be a Celtics fan, even long after these guys retire and new guys step in. I'm going to watch the Celtics play till the day I die, and that goes same for the Bruins too.

The Cs Are Rollin'

The Celtics have been on a tare recently with their 4 game winning streak still intact. In the past 2 weeks or so the Celtics have won 4 straight games beating opponents such as, the New York Knicks in OT, the Philadelphia 76ers by 3 points, the Toronto Raptors by 13 points, and the Miami Heat on the road by 7 points. They have taken down many good teams so far this season, but they themselves have been taken down by teams that should have had no chance whatsoever against them. They have now improved their record to 13-4, and have improved to 2nd place in the Eastern Conference behind the ever dangerous Orlando Magic. They are also now in 1st place in the Atlantic Division. They are 9-3 in their conference and 5-0 in their division. They are on a roll right now just like the Bruins are so let’s see if both of my favorite sports teams can keep it going and pull out a good season.

Big Players make Big Shots Too

Kevin Garnett comes through in the clutch! With the game on the line against the Knicks in New York, KG had the ball in his hands to take the last shot in OT for the Celtics. Every Celtic fan knows what happened when the ball left his hand; it swished through the net as time ran out. The Celtics won the game 107-105. It was an amazing game and not only did KG come through in the clutch, but so did the captain, Paul Pierce, who scored 7 of the teams 9 points scored in overtime.

Celtics Standings

The Celtics are currently in first place in the Atlantic division and in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. They are 8-3 on the year, 5-2 in the conference, 2-0 in the division, 4-2 at home, 4-1 on the road, 7-3 out of their last 10 games, have a winning percentage of .727%, and are on a 2 game losing streak right now.

Need To Pick It Up

Since beating the New Jersey Nets, the Celtics have lost 2 of their last 3 games. They beat the Utah Jazz on the Wednesday after they beat New Jersey, and then lost their next two games. They lost 97-86 to the Atlanta Hawks and they also lost 113-104 to the Indiana Pacers. They are now 8-3 but they should be 11-0 because those losses were bad ones, and were games they definitely should have won. Let’s see if they can bounce back and get a win tomorrow night at home against the Golden State Warriors at 7:30 pm. Check the blog for updates after the game.

Celtics Standings

The Celtics are in 1st place in the Atlantic division and 1st place in the Eastern Conference as well. They are followed closely by the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks. If the Celtics keep playnig they way they are right now they shouldnt have a problem holding off any team in the league and should coast through the conference. Check the blog for standing updates throughout the season.

The Nets Feel It

The Celtics took out their anger from their loss to Phoenix on the New Jersey Nets the next night as they beat them by 10 points, 86-76. They are now 7-1, but shuold be 8-0!!! The loss to Phoenix was such a frustrating loss. Their next game is this Wednesday as they host the Utah Jazz at 7:30. Hopefully they can keep the winning going because they seem like they cant be stopped. Check the blog after the game for updates.

First Loss

The Boston Celtics winning streak finally comes to an end. Last Friday, November 6th, the Celtics suffered their first loss of the season in the hands of the Phoenix Suns, 110-103. It was a very tough loss for not only the Celtics, but the coaches and the fans to swallow. I know myself personally I felt like it could'nt happen and they were'nt going to lose because they were playing amazing. It sucked that they lost and it was kind of upsetting to watch.

Close Call

The Celtics had a close call Wednesday night when they went to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves. They went in obviously thinking they would come away with an easy win, but the Twolves had other plans. The Twolves probably played they're best game of the season so far, and on top of that they shot 57% from the floor the entire night. The celtics fought back the whole game and they eventually pulled out a very lucky win, 92-90. They are now 6-0 on the season, still undefeated, and doesnt seem like they are going to lose anytime soon. Tonight they are playing at home in the garden against the Pheonix Suns at 7:30.

They CANT Be Stopped!

The Boston Celtics are playing like they are the best basketball team on the planet; and according to their record, they are. they are playing like they did two years ago when they won the NBA championship and it looks like they will not lose. They opened their season against the defending eastern conference champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers. They won that game 95-89. The next day they played their home opener against the Charlotte Bobcats and absolutely tore them apart and won 92-59. Two nights later they played against the team that played them really strong in the playoffs last year, the Chicago Bulls, and they won the game 118-90. then they played at home against the New Orleans Hornets and beat them 97-87. they played last night against the Philadelphia 76ers and won that game 105-74. They are on a 5 game win streak and have yet to lose a game this season. If this was baseball they would be batting 1,000. They play again tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves at 8 oclock tonight in Minnesota.

H1N1 strikes the NBA

Cleveland Cavalier players Lebron James, Darnell Jackson, and Coby Karl all have H1N1 or swine flu. They all tested positive for Influenza A this week. All three have been sitting out of practice and not participating in their pre season games. They also got tested for the H1N1 virus but have not recieved the results yet. They are working on methods to prevent this from spreading around the team and the rest of the league.

Lebron is Leaving Cleveland...

For Hollywood! The Cavaliers superstar and reigning NBA MVP will make his feature film debut by playing himself in an upcoming comedy. James will appear in "Fantasy Basketball Camp" by Universal Pictures. The movie is about five guys from different backgrounds who come to Las Vegas to live out their fantasy by attending James' basketball camp. Production will begin next summer, when James can become a free agent. Producer Brian Grazer is convinced the All-Star forward can make the transition to the big screen, as rapper Eminem did in "8 Mile." Grazer also produced that picture. James will be an executive producer on the project along with his business manager, Maverick Carter. This summer, James has been promoting "More Than a Game," a documentary which chronicles how he and four childhood friends achieved their dream of winning a high school national championship. The film opens Oct. 2.

Pacers Can't Keep Up The "Pace"

The Boston Celtics have added a key player to their lineup in the man of Marquis Daniels from the Indiana Pacers. He was a 6 year player, all 6 with the Pacers, but they could'nt hold on to him. He is a 6 foot 6, 200 lbs guard who will probably be backing up either Paul Pierce or Ray Allen, or both of them. He is a very skilled player who can shoot and pass just as good as anyone on the team. I think that by adding him, they are adding more depth to their bench and more skill and just another piece of the puzzle to pull in another NBA Championship.

New Guy In Town

The other night while I was looking at the Celtics website for some news, I looked at the roster for this upcomming season and I saw a name I didn't recognize. His name was Lester Hudson, a rookie out of TMU, or Tennessee-Martin University. I decided that I wanted to see if he was a good player so I went on youtube and I found some videos of him and found out that he is a very good player. The Celtics are going to be very fortunate to sign him this season because he is lights out from downtown, like Ray Allen, and he can dunk it like KG, and he can make amazing passes like Rajon Rondo. Hudson is a 6 foot 3, 190 lbs guard who I think should back up Paul Pierce. Lester Hudson set numerous records at his college in the 2 years that he played there. For example, he scored 1,727 points in his 2 years at TMU, which was 2 points less than the all time scoring record, but that was set by a player who played there for 4 years instead of 2. So if he can scored all those points in that time, then I cant wait to see what he can do for the Celtics this year.
